HRIC Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Holy Redeemer-Immaculate Conception Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Do you  or someone you know need assistance? Please read below and give us a call.

The Collaborative of Holy Redeemer-Immaculate Conception serves the communities of Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, and West Newbury. Our priests care about the health and safety of those in our communities and are concerned about you in these uncertain times. We are here to help.

Our Neighbors Helping Neighbors program is staffed by volunteers and is designed to respond to requests received by the residents of our communities for assistance with fundamental needs such as grocery shopping for the elderly or providing emergency supplies, prescription pickups, and meal deliveries. Outreach to the homebound to console or comfort are also ways in which we can support our neighbors during this difficult time.

We are offering live streaming of Mass on our Facebook page each Saturday at 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. We have other spiritual resources, books, and prayers on our website for your use.

Please contact us at 978-462-2724 or 978-346-8604 ext. 1000 and leave a message if you, or someone you know, is in need of assistance.  Someone will respond and do whatever we can to provide help, resources, or referrals. We are attempting to reach out to everyone we can, and we urge you to continue to reach out to family, friends and neighbors. May God bless you and keep you safe until we can be together again.

Volunteers needed for HRIC Neighbors Helping Neighbors Program

As the challenges of COVID-19 continue to evolve, Holy Redeemer-Immaculate Conception Collaborative is formalizing its "Neighbors Helping Neighbors Program" to respond to those in need within our communities of Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, and West Newbury. The focus of the program is to comfort and nurture our parish community and send its faith, love, and generosity outward by offering meaningful ways to love and serve our greater communities as this pandemic unfolds.

The program is designed to respond to requests received by the Collaborative parishes for assistance with fundamental needs such as  grocery store runs, prescription pick ups, and meal deliveries. Phone calls to the homebound and creation of cards to console or comfort are also ways in which we can support our neighbors during this difficult time.

The link below describes the program in detail and provides a form for those interested in volunteering to help this effort.  Volunteers will be contacted only by members of the Neighbors Helping Neighbors team to determine availability to respond to a particular request. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1cou0I5DOFLP_rhhBqDaMAQZ-Z4ED9-WpxRGBWc9XMI0

Please join in helping our Collaborative show the face of Jesus to our parishioners and our communities. God bless you.
