Celebrating the Sacraments at the HRIC Collaborative
Baptism
Find more baptism information, including the online form, at https://www.hriccatholic.org/additional-baptism-informationhttps://www.hriccatholic.org/Baptism. For adults looking to be baptized, please see "OCIA" at the bottom of this page.
We celebrate baptisms on the second Sunday of the month during the 11:30 a.m. Mass (11:00 a.m. during summer schedule) at Immaculate Conception Church or the second Saturday of the month (service outside of Mass) unless otherwise noted. A family can request a date for baptism at Holy Redeemer Church. (Please note: there are no baptisms during Lent.) Please call the Collaborative offices (978-462-2724 or
978-346-8604) for more information and future dates. As you discern who your child's Godparents will be, consider watching this video for guidance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDQdsFzRGXE&t=11s
Confession/Reconciliation
We offer Confessions Saturdays from 3:00–3:30 p.m. at IC Church. No appointment needed. Confessions are also available at other times and places during the week by appointment only. For more information or to schedule a time for Confession, contact our Collaborative offices at
(978) 346-8604 or
(978) 462-2724.
Sacrament of the Sick
The Anointing of the Sick is one of the seven Sacraments of our Church and is administered by a priest for healing and inner wholeness. Those who are seriously ill, elderly, or are entering the hospital can request to be anointed. Due to varied schedules and availability, it may not always be possible for a priest to come on short notice to offer the Sacrament, therefore it is strongly recommended that you request the Anointing of the Sick before going in for a hospital stay, upon entering a nursing home, or at the beginning of hospice care. Please call Collaborative offices at
978-462-2724 or
978-346-8604 to learn more.
Marriage
Archdiocesan guidelines request that couples planning to marry in the Church contact the church at least six months prior to the wedding date. Please call the Collaborative offices at
978-462-2724 or 978-346-8604 for more information.
Holy Communion/Eucharist
The Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is a sacrament that can be received during Mass, and daily if desired. Please see our Collaborative Mass schedule for Mass times.
First Communion/First Reconciliation
Preparation for these two sacraments is offered for children (ordinarily in 2nd Grade, after one year of faith formation) through our Faith Formation program. Please visit Faith Formation's
Sacrament Preparation - Grade 2 page for details & schedules (and a link to our registration form).
For more information or questions, contact Aaron Giard, Director of Lifelong Faith Formation at 978-462-2724 x405 or agiard@hriccatholic.org.
Confirmation
This sacrament is offered through our Faith Formation program to teens in 8th Grade and up with recent Faith Formation. It is also offered to adults, with a cycle of classes forming throughout the year, as the need arises. For 8th Graders, please visit Faith Formation's
Confirmation Preparation - Grade 8 page for details & schedules (and a link to our registration form).
